It was some dispointment in 2011 fall season for foilage. The quality of the leave colors in Southern and Central Vermont of 2011 was far below an average year(you may review those photos in the fold - Vermont foliage-Fall Colors 2011).
In 2012, we planned to go further north at the same time as 2011(at the weekend of Columbus Day or Thanksgiving in Canada). The plan was to catch the best fall colors in southern Quebec of Canada and northern Vermont. Our trip is the same as planned. Mont Tremblant - La Mauricie National Park - Quebec City - Newport VT - total 10 days.
This fall, the timing is near perfect and the quanlity of the leave colors is very good to excellent. However, the weather was so bad. It was rainy except of one day when we were at La Mauricie and one morning in Quebec City.
